This is so exciting, it's been a shame to have Forestry England close the park for so long. Steep af hill to climb but it makes the descent worth it.

Devinci Shares Insights to their Chainsaw Recall

This is the way to handle a recall - acknowledge it, take responsibility, include the community in the changes being made. More companies should be doing this, it really helps with customer retention and brand reputation. No one is going to fault Devinci for this, meanwhile Commencal, Pivot, Shimano and Rocky Mountain all had issues relating to this and their brands are still marred by their responses.

Wilde Announces Dark Star Hardtail & Future Proof Fork

Hell yeah! Always great to see new things form Wilde - and the straight steerer on the rigid fork means this thing will likely ride really well, even as a rigid. I bet this thing absolutely rips on the trails around Minneapolis.

Details Announced for ITRS - 'A Standardized Trail Rating System for a Safer, More Accessible Mountain Biking Experience'

IMBA already lists definitions of trail ratings. This is a sport about exploring and pushing yourself. Not sure why we'd need such a niche, for-profit company to "mandate" trail ratings worldwide.

They killed it with the Epic, Epic Evo, Chisel as well as the Aluminum Crux. Not sure of this one - no mechanical shifting and limited build options without a proprietary fork. Also, lack of progressiveness with a coil?

Shimano Files Patent Detailing Machine Learning for Automatic Suspension Control

I know that the general consensus of readers of pinkbike are anti-electronic crap, and I am mostly too - but I think this is a space where machine learning could actually positively impact riders. The amount of input data gathered per second is just too large and too trail/rider specific to do any sort of generalized algorithm with. Being able to adjust settings on the fly based on your regular riding habits could lead to some really cool implications, especially if it tends to learn your home trails. Usually AI/Machine learning is just a corporate buzzword but this is the sort of thing that it actually excels at. Not something I'd buy until it's completely fleshed out and integrated into existing suspension products, but not the worst electronic idea for bikes I've ever heard.
