Interview: Talking About Tires With Bontrager, e*thirteen, Michelin, and More
Has anyone tried running a Kryptotal Rear on the front? It looks so much like a DHR2, which was my go to front tire.

@freeridejerk888: Krypto's wear better than Maxxis tires for sure. The side knobs don't get all frayed and chipped, they just get a little duller, which is fine.

@Lostrodamus: A boutique builder could easily spec Hope, Hayes, or TRP options which are similarly priced but way better than mediocre SRAM Code brakes.

If you're here for steel, external touring, and elegant, functional design, you're probably not going to bother with the whizbang $3,000 electronic drivetrain that will be obsolete im three years.

Video: Steve Vanderhoek Back On Form After Injury
Full faces offer protection for unexpected crashes where you don't have time to ditch the bike and protect your face. These guys are studying features carefully and taking calculated risks at controlled speeds. They anticipate crashes and minimize risks in ways that the rest of us will never understand. Wear whatever makes you comfortable.

You guys realize the rear wheel eventually has to come forward? Your rearward axle path is used up after a hit or two if you don't give the bike a chance to recover to a neutral wheelbase.

$500 USDExcellent condition, lightly ridden, no scratches or marks on the stanchions, NO BUSHING PLAY , 7" steerer tube. I bought this fork for my Spur in 2021, but had to warranty it with SRAM due to bushing play (a common problem on early SID's from '20 and '21). They replaced the lowers and the bushings and sent it back to me in Spring 2022. By then, I already had another fork so it's been sitting on my XC hardtail which I don't ride very much. I'm including the integrated fender and an extra seal kit if you need them for future service.
