Jul 27, 2022Transition Syren Custom Built 27.5 Conversion
$1800 CAD2008 Transition Syren Custom Build 27.5 Conversion
This has been an awesome bike for my Wife to get into mountain biking and find her love for the adventures, and if it wasn't a little on the small side for her we would keep it. We are the second owners, and the original owner rarely rode it. We recently had a baby and during her time off we have bought her a newer Patrol to ride when she gets back to it. The fork and shock were serviced roughly 5 months before she stopped riding it in September 2021, and both are working smoothly. I had just bought them after reading about converting the bike from 26 inch wheels to 27.5 wheels by using a Transition Blindside chainstay, which our luck would have it that I had one not being used. It all bolted up smoothly and the bike performed way better for her in those 5 months, then over the previous 2 years that we owned it. Have a look below at the parts list that are currently on the bike, and review the links at the bottom for Transition's geometry specs, and some industry reviews of the bike when it launched. This one has to be seen to be appreciated, I know we really do. Please send me any questions you have, I'd be happy to answer them.

Pinkbike Poll: Has Your Fork's Crown Ever Creaked?
Loctite 638 solved horrible creaking/snapping sound coming from the CSU and stanchions on my 2019 Fox 36. It was so bad I was seriously considering a new fork. I bought the fork used and the csu had already been replaced under warranty for the same reason. the original was performance elite, and Fox upgraded it to Kashima. It was creak free when running it at 160mm, but after increasing it to 180mm it started creaking about a month in. I watched a youtube video from "JED MTB" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FsYV9Q03uc) followed his process and the fork hasn't creaked since. I've given the Loctite to another friend with 2019 36 who had the same problem, and it solved his issue too.
