Review: The Outlier Metronome Self-Leveling Flat Pedal is Superior, & Frustrating
I have a set of Pendulums from the initial pre-order because i thought the idea was interesting, perhaps something id like on the mtb, and wanted to support this startup. At worst it thought they could go on my beach cruiser. Guess where they are- yep - on the beach cruiser.
IMO not a great mtb pedal due to durability of bearings and the occasional upside down pedal placement that im just not willing to deal with on the trail. But i absolutely LOVE them on my goofy Electra beach cruiser. Weird aesthetic. Extra low. Perfect.

First Look: The Hustok Engineering Infinity Brakes are Built Differently - Eurobike 2026
Throwing hat into the ring. Magura and mineral oil for the win. There's enough to maintain on a bike without fiddling with dot fluid mess and volatility. Ive had a big bottle of magura mineral oil literally for years. I use it when i get a new frame and am forced to open the system on rear brakes due to internal routing. Rebleed and forget about for another however long until next bike.
I buy and sell bikes a good bit, and everything i get that comes w sram brakes needs a bleed. Annoying, and gets sold on immediately.

Shimano Launches Cable-Actuated XT Drivetrain
11 speed diehard here (the now old version). I don't know if this makes me happy or sad. on one hand I've wanted maybe just a bit more cassette range available in Shimano MTB 11 forever now, but also now that they've made it its all this new linkglide format and not compatible. grr. I liked it when 11 was just compatible across the board....but now hopefully the older 11 speed xtr derailluers nobody wants and I'll get more for cheap and just keep running what I always have. Fun fact, less and smaller geared cassettes are lighter. I don't get the 12 speed nonsense at all - SRAM or shimano. Just unnecessary extra.

$1100 USDTrek Stache 29+ mountain bike in size Large (fits rider around 6ft tall). In near perfect condition with some quality upgrades and extras. 29+ tires
DETAILS:
-Size large frame, protected with clear paint protection film from day 1.
-SunRingle DUROC Boost 148 wheels with Maxxis DHF and DHR 29x3.0 tires. No weird fatbike hub standards here - any boost standard wheels fit.
-Manitou Magnum Pro fork (120mm travel)
-Nukeproof carbon handlbars w ODI lockon grips.
-XT brakes with upgraded larger Icetech rotors
-Bontrager dropper seatpost
-Microshift drivetrain (huge gear range, with super low crawler gear available).
-will include an extra Robert Axle Project axle that adds mounts for a rear rack, and an extra (larger) chainring.
-note the sliding dropouts on this frame allow for singlespeed setup, and its capable of belt drive if desired.
Not a thing wrong with the bike, and low miles. Super versatile bike that can do anything from fatbike-style snow riding to bikebacking to XC mountain biking. I've enjoyed having this in the stable, but thinning the herd to fund a new XC race bike. Open to mild haggling.

Tectonic Components Launch New Alibi Composite Flat Pedals
These look cool and love the attempt at doing the right thing w materials. Will likely own a set of these on one bike if well reviewed, but the fleet stays Deftrap until proven otherwise.
