Review: Michelin Performance Tires - Fast Rolling & Long-Lasting, But There's a Catch
I think my last pair of DH22 29/27,5 cost me like 105 euros in June (Shipped from Germany to Spain in 3 days). Doing conversion to US 105€=121 $. Radial tires are more in line of 70 €. From 50 to 75 you got all the options. I would never consider low tier Michelin tires cos their top line are one of the cheapest options here. I like the DH22, very versatile tire.

First Ride: Maxxis Unveils New Minion DHX & Reinvented Downhill Casing
I miss the days of stopping cos everybody had a flat tire every 10 mins of ridding...At least in my local trails, you need a DD or DH tire to not flat at every opportunity hehehe.

First Look: Hope EVO V6Ti Brakes - Six Pistons Are Back
@sfarnum: We need a MT520 vs Base hehehe. I think with those two brakes you would have tons of power. I think Shimano build quality is way nicer than Sram for the same money range. For a trail-enduro bike I would choose MT520, for e-bike and DH/Bike park use I think Maven Base would work better.

First Look: Hope EVO V6Ti Brakes - Six Pistons Are Back
@Monkeyass: I got one of those RX4 calipers (I think that is the name) in my dirt jump bike for years and never ever needed attention in 4 or 5 years. I got it paired with the cheapest Shimano MT200 lever and 160 mm Galfer wave rotor with Galfer blue pads. Very light combo and lever feel is awesome for a dirt jump bike, very easy to modulate and very good power for a single brake bike.

First Look: Hope EVO V6Ti Brakes - Six Pistons Are Back
@tacopop: most of the trucks come stock with two piston calipers (maybe the Tundra is the exception there) build simple as you can get, nothing fancy. Like most of road cars got brakes for road use and cheap maintenance, not to be driven like a rally car smashing Montecarlo stages. Go to look at Alcon brakes on trophy trucks, 16k to 22k for a complete system (just asked google AI). I have a pair of Maven Base ready to rock for 260€ without new rotors or fancy pads.

First Look: Hope EVO V6Ti Brakes - Six Pistons Are Back
@DH-BK: If you are looking for something cheap, Maven Base are great option. Got them in my e-bike and the lever feel is lovely, very light and the power is there. I have my rear brake caliper leak from the seam but tight the bolts and working again. Build quality is normal to low I would say,but works very good. Maybe those would explode in 10 days of bike park but worth the risk. Base Maven have very different lever feeling to A1 Mavens, more "normal" so not much thinking there. They are chunky and ugly but I do not look at my brakes all the time hehehe. Hope brakes looks sick and very well made from a mile away.

Has Joe Breeden Solved Arm Pump? | Lenzerheide World Cup DH Tech
@HVA83: I think that´s the main problem. I put new Maven Base brakes in my ebike and it is a huge difference over the old worn out brakes. Lever is very light and power is very good I think, I got them really cheap and they feel great even compared to any other Maven. Now I can brake late to the corners, brake harder for shorter periods of time so no more brake drag. It is a big confidence bonus having good brakes or not wishing more power every time the trail gets very steep. I would send some of those "I do not know arm pump" to S.Lary and I bet they would know very quick hehehe.

Throwback Thursday: 40 Race Bikes from Past Leogang DH World Cups
@maglor: Propain old bike is almost identical to the new one. The new V10 is more angular and well balance to the eye IMO,the old one is an amazing bike but for me looks a little weird. My favorite one is the steel Frameworks.

Specialized Is Trying to Make E-Bike Overlanding a Thing
To me the idea of "overlanding" in an e-bike is a death end from the start. You would go as far as your battery would last, like any other ebike ride,so no much overlanding I think. Being limited by the battery is very stupid idea for a travel bike.
