First Look: Pivot's New Mach 4SL
This feels like a mid-cycle polish job to me. Re-use mostly everything, make some tweaks, half-ass the bottle arrangement, etc... There will be an 'actual' new one in 3 years and it'll be what they fully want to send to market. ups: better geo than before, no headset routing, lighter downs: still too heavy, upside down shock, some goofy frame bits

First Look: 2023 Habit - Cannondale's Most Popular Bike Gets Revitalized
@Insectoid: it's really hard to service locally because they don't sell the special parts and tools to do it. It's also got a damper in it from the stone ages.

What Type of eMTB Should You Buy in 2023?
@Schbeemb: It's probably just as much about the volatility of our public use lands. Combine the two factors together and it's a disaster waiting to happen, unfortunately.

Slack Randoms: Audi's $10,000 eMTB, Top Gun Musical Bike Builds, the Fall of Rollerblading & More
I bet whoever had to photoshop the roost on that e-bike photo either: 1. hates themself 2. had to be explained to, what roost looks like because that definitely looks like roost as if it was imagined by somebody who's only just heard about it

Video: 'Pink It & Shrink It' - Why Don't More Brands Make Women's Specific Bikes?
Why don't they make women's specific motorcycles, cars, airplane seats, couches, lawn chairs, whateverrrrr....? Because nobody is that special to warrant fighting the natural currents of the market. Why don't they make XXXL sized bikes for Reggie Millers? Because there are only a couple hundred Reggie Millers that are even close to being potential customers. If there was a giant untapped market for women's specific bicycles, rest assured; somebody would fill it. To be clear: I wish it were the case that there was so much female participation in the sport that it made sense. But it's not. Follow the $$

What Type of eMTB Should You Buy in 2023?
@Schbeemb: Cute small country anecdote. For every e-biker you have in England who's already core, America has 10 who only moonlight as mountain bikers and would NEVER be caught riding trails without a motorcycle underneath them.

How to Not Feel Stupid Walking Into a Bike Shop
Simple. If you feel stupid once you're in there, walk right back out. They don't deserve your business. Any shop worth a damn can at least be welcoming. That's not even to do with bikes, that's just good retail etiquette.

What Type of eMTB Should You Buy in 2023?
It's deeper than that for most anti-moped people. It's about identity. Mountain biking has strong culture to it, like any specialty sport. People find comfort in understanding themselves through their identity as a mountain biker, surrounded by familiar people, stories, places, etc. Then e-bike people come along and co-opt that identity for themselves - in some cases, without any appreciation for the history, the traditions, and sometimes without the concern for the future viability. It's the cycling equivalent of "the illegals are comin' for yer jobs". That's why it gets so political and hostile.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Scott’s CMO Reto Aeschbacher on Integration, Marketing, and That Time They Tried Making Suspension
I like the c-suite interviews. But you definitely do need to push harder on sensitive topics if you want the podcast to serve the listeners. As it stands, it's pretty obviously an advertisement, paid or not.
