Just get an enduro bike and then swap over the tyres for XC racing. Enduro bikes now a days have really good pedalling efficiency even with a coil shock. I'd recommend getting a Norco Sight because they have good reliability for the price and offer a really good suspension set up guide, so It'll be dialled on the first ride.

First Ride: Santa Cruz's New Bronson Gets a Mullet for 2022
The only think I like santacruz for is the fact they're using cast links with grease channels and a port for a grease pump. I wish that was standard on all bikes.

@seraph: I've heard that if you beg your local bike shop. they can call Sram and get a pre-order for you. because it's probably gonna be sold out with-in a week just like the 38.

- An entire range of brakes
- A new tyre from Onza and Kenda
- TRP made him an entire drivetrain because shimano wasn't good enough
- Intense had to create a custom prototype bike for him when he joined the team.
These things aren't cheap.

Spotted: A RockShox Blackbox Shock on Trek's High Pivot DH Bike
@hitarpotar: I just mentioned it because the leaked image of it is floating around at the moment. Also I don't think there going to release a DH AXS from what I've heard, However I'm pretty sure you can swap the cages on an AXS mech to get a DH version.
