Spotted: New Shimano XTR
"Continuing our detective work, we managed to grab this screenshot from the Shimano US website, the page has now mysteriously disappeared?" it wouldn't take a genius to make the connection of the official launch date (as per the insta vids) and the fact that the page disappeared because it went up too early by mistake. PB will almost certainly have had the full press-release before whatever the embargo date is, and know all the details...

Bike Check: Greg Williamson's Full Carbon Unno Ever - Lošinj DH World Cup 2018
why not? it's probably ever-so marginally faster - isn't that the ultimate goal of a race bike?

Tech Randoms 2 - Core Bike Show 2018
@jaame: " I feel it's pretty incredible that we have somehow come to this point where a pair of wheels costs over two thousand pounds! You don't even get tyres or brake discs! Imagine spending over two thousand pounds on a pair of wheels and then having to spend another three hundred on other parts before you can use them." just don't buy them then. I find it incredible that I can literally spend a million pounds on a car. But because I can't afford that, i just buy a normal one and get on with my life, leaving the £1m car to those who can afford it. other than appreciating the aesthetic qualities and the engineering impressiveness of said car, it has absolutely no effect on my life.

Eminent Cycles Launches the Haste - First Look
"and generous reach" 463mm reach, in the 65cm size bike (which, giving them the benefit of the doubt is equivalent to a large) can hardly be described as 'generous'... it's average at best for this type of bike, and conservative if you look in the context of the latest raft of longer travel AM/enduro bikes... The rest of the geo is equally disappointing, really.

The 2017 Pinkbike Festive Gift Guide
but you're happy to twat a star fangled nut in there, scraping the hell out of the inside of it? i'd say a properly cut thread is far less risky than a scored steerer from a SFN, and who head of one of those causing a failure anyway?

2017 EWS Finals: Finale Ligure, Italy - Race Day 2 Photo Epic
Well done PinkBike on the equal footing you give women's racing... 25 pics of men racing, 7 pics of women racing. then... "Justin Leov signed out from EWS racing with a dunk in the sea with his Canyon teammates." 'his Canyon teammates' - that's Ines Thoma, 6th overall this year, by the way. Somewhat better than Leov's 21st overall. Could at least have had the decency to mention her name...
