I have both, I prefer my Dominions. The power is great on the Mavens, but it's the first time I've experienced pad rattle. It stopped after about 50 miles, but until then it was deafening. I also get a LOT of pad rubbing, but that's because the rotor that came with the Mavens was way too thin. My buddies bike with Galfer rotors and Mavens doesn't rub.

I once built a bike because I had some grips I wasn't using. So the answer is anything...I'm what they call in marketing terms "level 7 susceptible"

If Enduro is dead does that mean my Enduro Bike is now an All-Mountain Bike again?

Owner of the Hugene CF 3 here. I had the CF 2 and loved it, and also have a Tyee CF 6. They hit the nail on the head with the review, but it’s not the doom and gloom it’s being perceived as. The previous Hugene was easily my favorite bike I’d ever ridden, which is saying something. But my first impression on this bike was “this thing f***ing rips!” While it’s not quite the do everything bike the previous version was, this bike leans more into the *sigh* downcountry category. I for one accept the change. Mostly because the Tyee is now such a capable bike that it sort of filled that spot in Propains lineup (I was faster on most climbs on my Tyee than previous Hugene). Yes this bike doesn’t jump as well, but mine is setup with a 10mm longer stem and 1/2 lower bar than my Tyee. I think changing that will liven it up a fair bit. I didn’t have too much trouble with the rear suspension setup, but will be swapping to a Manitou rear shock soon (IYKYK). The forward weight bias does make for loads of traction, especially paired with radial casing tires. If you want to keep up with your XC friends on the climbs and smoke them on the descents this is your bike. Also the downtube storage holds 2 bags (included) you could easily carry like 3 gas station hotdogs in this bad boy.

@notthatbryan: I replaced the Vivid on my Tyee with a Manitou Mara Pro and it made the bike soooo much better. Braking bumps were gone and traction was vastly improved.

Yeah, it's been great! The clearance is tighter than some because of the longer reservoir. Like the Mezzer, it'll take a little longer to get fine tuned but once you do it's golden.
