@totaltoads: Maybe my example wasn't ideal. Heres a better trail example that may help you being in Boston. While I may feel that a 29" hardtail with aspens is the peak bike for riding Franklin Park, you may think a Nomad with dual assegais is. Its based on the experience and feeling that person wants from their ride, which is considered a subjective view.

@Mtn-Goat-13: Lets take a breath. I was replying to the comment "wrong bike for the terrain as well" not the article.
My main point is that I may think a 130mm bike is perfect for a specific trail, while someone else thinks at 170mm is, and another thinks a hardtail is. Who cares? It depends on how that person gets their grins on a bike.
And to double check, "subjective means based on personal opinions, feelings, or views", so I still think I'm using it correctly. But thanks!

This is so rider subjective. A pro rider can ride a cyclocross bike down a-line, while a regular rider needs a full blow DH bike.
More travel gives you more margin for error.

@plyawn: Don't worry, hes done plenty of classes and spends a lot of money on our local cycling program. Everyone crashes. I've crashed many times, and I have never broke a dropper remote. To break 2 in a year is absurd and shows how fragile they are. One was on a very small bike laydown.

Fox Releases 225mm Transfer Neo Wireless Dropper Post
I have a friend that has one of these. He's crashed and broken his lever 2 times and its cost $209 each time to fix it. Its a dang fragile piece of plastic that is easy to break.
This is the most useless thing to purchase on a bike with no real value.

Pinkbike Poll: Do Your Hands or Arms Hurt When You Ride?
I only get issues with my hands on the bars when I’ve done a lot of trailwork recently and gives me tingly fingers. The only thing that helps is stretching.
