I miss riding in France. So many amazing beautiful places. Sigh.

Review: Giant TRX Carbon Wheels
Nailed it. Why would anyone spend 2K CAD for an inferior product when you could get a kick-ass We Are One wheelset with better hubs, lifetime warranty, and costs hundreds of dollars less?

Review: SeaSucker Talon Bike Rack - Does It Suck?
It's definitely a bit nerve racking at first. What I do is stick the Talon on my front windshield where I can see the pump. If the orange indicator starts to show - you should be able to stop in time and pump it up. I also check it every time I stop for gas, etc.

Review: SeaSucker Talon Bike Rack - Does It Suck?
@KennyWatson: You're 100% correct! I was on a family trip overseas last year and wanted to ride as much as I could. While the Sea Sucker is definitely a bit fiddly, it works. At the end of the day, I got to bring my own bike, save $$$$$$ on bike rental, rent smaller (ie more affordable) cars, and got a ton of rides in. It wouldn't be my choice for a daily rack at home - but for travel, it's mint.

Pole Bicycles Has Filed for Bankruptcy
@elrad As divisive as Leo could be (and I think some of that was just lost in translation due to cultural differences) - he had vision. While other brands "tweaked" head and seat tube angles 0.5 degrees a year for 5 years in a row - he was already there. Yes, I had some warranty issues during the pandemic - but in the end, Pole sorted me out, and Leo even had the guts to have a personal phone call with me to explain the situation. Wishing him the best on his future endeavours.

Review: LoamLab Counterpunch Hand Protecting Grips
I’m in the same boat as you and use them for different hand positions while climbing. Have had these on my fully for the last 2 years and they have been great. Saved my pinky knuckles lots of times and yes, they do glance off trees. For folks getting bucked off bars and hooking them, I wonder if they are not taking advantage of sliding their pinky right up against the loam levers, leaving a gap to snag. I’ve trimmed my bars slightly when I added mine. Perfection. When I’m riding in new places, I don’t have the luxury of knowing every single tree and tight spot. These let me ride a bit faster and provide some hand insurance. Have saved at least one road trip from sitting on the sidelines with a busted up finger.

First Ride: The New RockShox Vivid Ultimate Shock
I got my X2 upgraded and while it felt fine at first, long term reliability is disappointing. After 30 days of hard riding, shock loses pressure throughout a ride. I’d go Rock Shox any day over how finicky the X2 is.
