Burning Question: 7 Brands That Haven't Released an eMTB Yet
@cotic-bikes: same here we have a good sized trail system that involves a private landowner and they do not want public maps available, Strava was ZERO HELP. I'm no tech guru, but it would be pretty easy for Strave to geo-fence the area. In the meantime we just keep marking segments manually to have them pulled down. Sigh. To hell with Strava and their ilk.

Danny Hart's Descend Bike Park Ransacked & Robbed
@brooklyn1: yeah, but when they rot they will leave holes in the trail... May be a better plan is to backfill a borrow pit with the thieves then backfill with dirt on top, rake some leaves over, toss some sticks back on there and replant some ferns...

Pinkbike Poll: Do You Care About the Carbon Footprint of Your Bike?
Billionaires in an ego driven space race is way worse for carbon emissions than bikes. Coal power plants, Joe Manchin, air travel etc. all higher on my list of carbon problems to solve. Bike production is kinda towards the bottom of the list for me.

Video: Martha Gill Rips a Gravel Bike
@adrennan: yep, I've got a gravel bike that is sporty that is used for 95% of my "fast road rides", my CX racing, commuting, absurdly long single day mixed surface rides where there is road, gravel, singletrack and some stuff that was once a road or trail... I have a Fargo that is sitting on knobby 2.4" rubber and that is my bike packing bike and also runs full time fenders, dynamo lights and was my commuter when that was a thing people did. I've also passed lots of full squish bikes going downhill rigid on the Fargo... THE MOST IMPORTANT PART - droppers on all bikes makes all bikes better!!

Online Deals: August 2021
@Elgaucher: I'm running box 2 11speed and overall I like it. I got the whole group set for a couple hundred off of ebay so no complaints. The long cage mech is crazy long and gets in the way, I ripped one mech off. Shifting is direct like SRAM, but not LOUD like SRAM. The spring on the mech is super tight so getting the wheel off and back on is a pain in the butt. HOWEVER, overall mine has held up just fine overall. Shifts just fine for the money.
