@ADHDMI: I agree, the basic version of the reverse brand tensioner (not expert or pro) works just fine, is very durable but also stays out of the way. It is similarly priced to a derailleur.

I build my wheels using a bike frame (or fork), some masking tape, a marker, cheap tension gauge and a ruler. Sometimes I use some cable ties. lol.
