Tragic news. Trying to ignore the pish comments on here so I will give my experience of Rab. A long time ago I worked in the bike industry and considered myself a “Rad” downhiller. I was at some product testing thing in glentress and for whatever Rab was taking us guiding in his lycra. I was dressed in baggies and pretending to be Shawn Palmer and thinking “I hope this skinny guy gets out of the way on the way down”. Rab proceeded to climb hills like he was on an ebike (long before ebikes were a thing) and he utterly obliterated me on the descents. I couldn’t get over how fast he was both up and down. He was also a thoroughly nice man. RIP

How would you progress this alleged crime if not by arresting? How exactly would you suggest police speak to him to “get his side of the story”? “The fact that 3 other people have complained about the same guy is irrelevant”. No it’s not, Evidence of one witness in a series of two or more separate offences capable of providing corroboration for the evidence of a witness in another case.

I love my orange stage 5 for it’s simplicity. I have ridden linkage bikes and like them too. If I was after a linkage bike I would almost certainly not be looking at that orange!

I have not been to the gym for a few years but used to go all the time. I have never been to a gym with everyone going topless. Seems weird to me. An outdoor gym at California beach? Sure get a nice tan. An indoor gym in the U.K. in winter? A bit homoerotic.

The Olympic committee feel DH results could be skewed by equipment use which is against the ethos of the Olympics. As in it’s unfair on athletes from Mozambique because they can’t afford a V-10. In a way it makes sense but in modern day it’s silly because developing nations also can’t afford the training / diet / physio of the powerhouse nations anyway. Don’t see too many competitors from Mozambique enter the equestrian events and a I expect the XC mtb winner isn’t competing on a huffy. So ultimately it’s B.S. Final point the UCI don’t give a fuck about DH so probably make no effort to get it into the Olympics
