@William42: but you do realize that nobody is forcing you to buy a 32" wheeled bike, no? same as now you can buy a 27,5" bike no probs. the fact that there aren't so many 27.5" bikes left on the market is probably a testament to the fact that 29" are generally accepted as superior.
also, once XC racers can get around the same lap on the 32" a couple seconds faster than on their current bikes, you can be sure the start gate will be lined by those.
but again, horses for courses. don't like 32", go buy what's on the market today. it's that simple.

@KolaPanda: the way I see it is it snaps so it tears off the bike. that headtube was still attached to the bike but with a tear where the steerer used to sit :)
