@HeatedRotor: Yeah totally. I’m sure SPD’s are great. I’m sure I would enjoy using them as well. I run Shimano but I’m sure Sram brakes are rad as well.
It’s okay for 2 different brands products to exist and also be good, people. Wild concept, apparently.

Wow, I don't understand all this CB hate. Glad to see someone talk some sense here. It's one thing to have a preference, but it's wild to see all this hate for pedals that pro DH and enduro riders use by choice. The hate and passion is so weird lol!
I got the mallet E LS 2 years ago and love them still. Zero issues :/ Took about 15 rides to break them in but they're perfect imo.

Mike Kazimer's 2024 Predictions
But why are bikes getting heavier? Honest question. Is it because there's some new carbon layup method that is cheaper, but maintains the same durability but sacrifices weight? And companies are switching to that method to save cash? Or are bikes just that much longer/larger? Maybe a slight increase in size of everything (pedals, 31.8, stanchion diameter, larger brakes, etc) just adds up? I used to ride a first gen carbon Patrol that was sub 30lbs. Why can't we do that anymore?

@rat-race-wheels: yeah looks like it. I went down the research rabbit hole just now. It's just generic polypropylene tape. Looks like anyone could start a rim tape company with a couple grand and an Alibaba order hahah!

There's no way tubeless tape is special tape. The cycling world just put their marketing spin on it. I wonder what this type of tape was originally used for or intended for before cycling rebranded it?

@nfontanella: yeah that's what I have and I agree. It's so perfect. I really hope they don't screw up that design so in 5ish years I can buy the same helmet again when it's time to replace hahah !
