Industry Nine's V2 Alloy Rims are Designed to Fight Pinch Flats & Burping
Late to the discussion, but I got a set of the trail V2 rims on J-USA with DT 240s hubs for $549.
I was thinking that the rims could last a couple of seasons, and that would be fine because the DT hubs will last 10 years before changing the grease ;0). I am selling my M1700s 25mm after 6 seasons, and although they are narrow, and have dozens of rock scratches, they are still mostly true with only 1 tiny dent. J-pull spokes on the new set. Wondering, should I pull the decals and rebrand with DT decals? Would that make them stronger? If I ever come across this thread again, I'll post an update. First time with i9 so not knocking until they get the full test.

Review: Norco's New Sight VLT TQ - High-Pivot Meets Mid-Power
I still question the entire sport if I'm spending 10k to go out in the woods and shred. I mean, I started riding on a $500 Schwinn Sierra Comp full rigid in a foam helmet on many of the same sketchy trails we take all sorts of tech down now, tied to my bike with bear trap clip pedals, and I dont remember it being $10,000 less of a thrill. Not saying I don't appreciate droppers and discs etc. But the sport is dying under the weight of focus on the few riders who want to spend ridiculous amounts to look the part.

Big Wheels, Big Claims: 32" Wheels Are Actually Faster (According to Science)
2 thoughts:
1. So bigger wheels will be faster over specific terrain. Over my woods, I bet they will be more likely to fail, warp, and collapse. They will be heavier do to more material, and more expensive due to same. Tires will cost more as well. This will boost margins, and service at shops.
2. They will appear faster if the bike industry wants to push them due to reasons above plus innovation factor and novelty. Result: they will re-style the UCI courses to favor advantages of big wheels. When those running these wheels start winning the races, we all point to that as proof. In a few years, they'll be on the sale rack with the mid-fats.

Forks with built in shock pump and adjustable psi check valve, so you can just dial the psi and the check valve stops adding air when the pressure matches the checkvalve resistance psi.

I didn't really look at the components as some inscriptions and stickers esp. on MTBs would not impress me. The timelessness is in these here comments.
