Downhill Rockies Announces 2024 Calendar
@ATXZJ: I’m from EP and there’s plenty to defend about NM. Loved NM while I lived there too. Yes there’s lots of poverty and crime but it’s quite the beautiful landscape. It’s a race dude, it’s not like anyone is forcing you to send your kids to school there. Not like the schools are any better in EP… Given the amount of negative comments you’re making, I’m guessing something bad happened to you in NM. Sorry if that’s the case. Hope you eventually come around.

18 Bikes That Could Be Updated in 2024
@valrock: I’m 6’2” on an XL and it would be nice if I didn’t have to slam my saddle all the way forward, but I agree it’s the best bike I’ve ever owned as well.

18 Bikes That Could Be Updated in 2024
Revel’s slack seat tube angles are pretty much the only thing I would change. I love my Revel (and think it climbs just fine despite the relatively slack seat tube angle) but it really seems like company management believes mtb geometry peaked in 2017. I’m not saying that facetiously either. When the Rail 27.5 and Rascal were first released in 2019, the geo of both bikes was already a little dated compared to most of the other bikes being released at the time. By the time Revel released the Rail 29, it was no secret that the market was trending towards steep tube seat angles but they still kept it slack. Given the company’s small size, the amount of $ it takes to update a bike, and the current state of the bike industry, I would be really surprised to see any updates from them in the next 12-24 months.

Haribo Among Companies Owed Money by Wiggle After it Entered Administration
These things are not mutually exclusive. Fed policy incentivized price gouging. The US money supply grew by over 40% during the pandemic. Companies have an obligation to their shareholders to price their products to what the market can bear. When the money supply grew due to fed money printing, companies were able to charge more for their products as the average consumer had more cash to spend. Now that demand for bikes has fallen, savings rates are down, and interest rates are up, bike companies are discounting their bikes and the market is returning to equilibrium. I understand the anger with inflation. I used the word “average” when describing the consumer and millions of people are below average. Anyone below average felt/is feeling a lot of economic pain.

Kona Previews New Process X Alloy & Carbon 153
@emptybe-er: I don’t have a bike with frame storage but I am envious of them. Not envious enough to drop $ on a new bike right now but looking forward to having it one day. Modern back and hip packs aren’t that bad but getting to ride without one feels so much nicer. Makes a noticeable, positive difference on longer rides. So many things can go wrong on a bike ride, it’s pretty wise to try to be a mobile crisis unit if you’re in the woods 15 miles from the car or home.

Pivot Point

$1000 USD
2022 Pivot Point dj bike. This is a beautiful frame built entirely with 4130 chromoly - the finest and smoothest feeling steel. Stock build from Pivot which is durable and thoughtful. I added some high rise bars that can easily be changed out. This bike is in excellent condition and ready to take on the heaviest dirt jump and park lines you can find. Only selling because I have too many bikes and hobbies.
