I think that there’s a balance between speed and stability on the downhills with the trade off being the added weight of the dropper and heavier tires/wheels or the higher risk of flatting.

Kona Kula Primo Scandium Frameset (18") Marzocchi Marathon SL Fork XTR Cranks, Shifters, Derailleurs Mavic CrossRide Wheelset Hayes HFX-9 Brakes I built this bike all to my own specifications. I don't have enough time to ride it so I am getting rid of it. It has always been regularly maintained at Dutch Cycle, even though I never really rode it. I originally paid $3500 and it had a few different specs. A couple years ago I added, XTR shifters, rear derailleur, cranks, and the wheelset, that cost me $1500. Basically I won't take anything under $1500, but I'll consider reasonable offers. Also, you have to come and pick it up if you want it.
