6 DH Bikes & 6 Instagrams from Formation - Women's Freeride Progression Sessions
The more exposure that gets given to the women out there shredding in MTB, the better. That's what it needs to get more girls out on the trails and they couldn't ask for better riders to inspire them. As someone who counts as many girls as guys amongst my biking mates, with many of those girls doing way bigger stuff than me, or racing nationals and world cups, or organising events aimed at getting girls into riding and racing, it's great to see more of this kind of stuff.

Video: Joe Barnes' New Bike Passes the Sloppy Rut Test
Was expecting see the usual raft of comments slating Orange Bikes, but for a change, most are complimentary. Joe always looks at home on an Orange, which as an Orange owner since 2011, I can fully appreciate. Two Fives, now an Alpine 6 and a 324...… Why would I want to ride any other bike?

The Privateer: Back Between The Tape at EWS Northstar
I've friends who race World Cup DH, either with full factory teams or as semi-supported and if there's a single benefit to having factory support, it's probably knowing that all the other stuff apart from riding the bike is taken care of. Whether that's knowing that your mechanic is on hand to get your ride ready, or having your accommodation sorted for you, it all helps. One thing that is clear and which others have mentioned, is the key is being able to ride fast. The guys regularly hitting the top 30, are seriously rapid riders and full support alone won't make you one of those.

Afan Valley Riders Voice Concerns Over Latest Round of Tree Felling
This happens in every working forest, whether as part of planned logging or in this case, to remove dead or dying trees. My 'local' the FOD has seen it too and in fact two of my favourite areas look likely to see some work done shortly as orange dots have appeared on trees in the area. Both of these areas are long standing, but unofficial trails.

Video: Cody Kelley Vs His Old Man
Pretty darned cool. I'll be 55 in February, only got into mountain biking around 10 years ago and now totally obsessed with it. Age is no barrier to getting out and having a blast, meeting and making new friends, visiting different places and riding all kinds of trails. Keeps you fit, keeps you feeling young and alive.... you've gotta love biking :-)

Video: R-Dog, Kade Edwards & Casey Brown Ride Whistler's Dirt Merchant in 'I Love Flow'
I held the belief that mountain biking was one of the few sports where girls/women were generally given more respect and encouragement from male riders. Looking at some of the comments on here, I could easily be led to think I was wrong. The likes of Casey and Vero Sandler, as another example, would probably out ride most of the people commenting on this article.

Finals Photo Epic: Rise of the Phoenix - Hardline 2019
You know stuff is big when it looks big in the pics or videos. Definitely need to get up there to watch next year, just to get a real sense of the outrageous skills and stones needed to hit a track like that. Huge kudos to Kaos, crashed, back flipped the big step up and then flipped the hip into the trees too. Complete and utter nutter :-)

Results: Qualification - Snowshoe DH World Cup 2019
@Hand-of-Midas: I think there does seem to have been an increase in the number of girls/women getting into biking, the difficult bit is getting them into racing, especially Downhill. There’s some talented young riders out there, but maybe British Cycling for one, needs to do more.

Orange's New Switch 6 Mullet Bike - Eurobike 2019
You either like Orange’s bikes or you don’t, it’s about personal preference and just because you don’t like them, that doesn’t automatically make them c##p either. I’ve owned two Fives and currently own an Alpine 6 and a 324. It goes without saying that I love ‘em even though I’m nowhere near good enough to get the very, very best of out them. But, I have a lot of fun trying and at the end of the day, biking is all about having fun ????
