This Specialized Allez Expert DSW was bought in July of 2016 and it has barely been ridden since I don't race bikes anymore. I had this bike for the few times I want to get out on the road but I need to get rid of this bike because I am getting ready to move soon. The Allez Expert DSW frame has been a lightweight aluminum frame that has great ride qualities. Coming from a carbon road bike, this new aluminum D'Alusio SmartWeld (DSW) from Specialized has given very comparable ride quality with great stiffness and similar weight. This new aluminum frame technology from Specialized is very advanced and has been a great ride. It has all new 11-speed Shimano Ultegra Drivetrain and brakes that give a great ride experience and shift precisely time after time. These brakes are top notch and give great braking power for rim brakes and keep the rider safe and in control. Pick up this great ride and get outside to enjoy the roads and views! This is my old race xc bike that I have not put that many miles on and mostly used it for cross country races. It has been a trustworthy bike that I have had a lot of fun on but need to sell since I am planning on moving very soon. I did crash the bike once and scraped up the clear outside of the carbon on the non-drive side seatstay and almost got to the bare carbon. And then sometime in 2015, I was cleaning the bike and noticed that I had a crack in the carbon in the middle-top of of the seat tube. I sent the bike to calfee and had them do carbon repair to the cracked seat tube and since it was already at Calfee, I had them cover the scraped seatstay so it is actually stronger than it was before. The cracked seat tube was cracked in between the junctions so the only repair it needed was enough to back the strength for any impact. At the beginning of the year I had decided to improve the 2X10 drivetrain and brakes to a whole new Shimano Deore XT 1X11 drivetrain and really make it a more versatile and simple cross country mountain bike. Sadly, it took me forever to get things and finally put the whole new drivetrain on the bike only to have to sell the bike. As of July 14, 2017 I haven't even ridden the bike and the drivetrain is dialed in and ready to go. Please grab this bike if your looking for a great carbon hardtail with a new drivetrain that will last for years. This bike needs to go so all offers are welcome! So this is a nearly brand new 2017 Specialized Stumpjumper Expert Carbon 650b that I purchased in March 2017 but have gotten less than 10 rides on it due to rainy winter in California and life getting busy. Sadly I did have one slide out crash on the bike that bent the front brake shifter, scratched the brake lever clamps and scratched the fork legs on the non-drive side. There is absolutely no scratches on the stanchion though, so there will be no performance disadvantage and it is entirely cosmetic. Unfortunately, I am planning on moving across the country and need the money so this great bike needs to go. I have ridden Stumpjumper's in the past in a size Large but I was always between size and wanted to see how a larger size would fit and descend downhill. I am definitely a fan of the longer reach and shorter stem to keep me more centered on the bike and increase my bike control. This bike has a great balance between being a good climber but still have very capable descender that makes it confident and an absolute hoot to ride even if you don't want to be absolutely on edge the entire time. This level of bike could easily be raced at enduro or stage race events while also being a great weekend warrior rig. Just bought these POC VPD Air Knee Pads and sadly bought the wrong size. These are a size medium and since I was on the edge between sizes I went to the smaller size. Sadly this just made the pads too noticeable and snug when I rode. I only rode them 3 times but couldn't get over how much I noticed them. They barely have any dirt and still have the new Knee pad smell too them. I am firm on price and will do $55 shipped to your door domestically in the US. These need a new home and they are top quality POC pads. Materials are nice and protection moves with the knee really well when pedaling.
