A great insight into Team CRC/Nukeproof dealing with injuries. Lets all send our healing vibes out to Matt Simmonds and Lew Buchanan - get better soon, guys!
ouch ive dislocated my shoulder before that is a sucky injury to get at the beginning of the season
cant wait to see these guys race though because their crazy fast up there
Really hope Matti doesn't get injured this season he always seems to have crap for luck with injuries but his resilience is beyond me he deserves a world title in my opinion.
The bad thing about dislocating a shoulder it becomes easier and easier each time you dislocated it and eventually you will have to go for shoulder reconstruction. My PE teacher sneezed and his shoulder came out and that is after 3 shoulder reconstructions. Hope Lewis does not dislocate it again
my shoulder used to dislocate any time i did anything for 3 years, then it would stay out until i got a doctor to pop it in again, no joke. I got a tendon re attached and its only happened once since. its the most annoying injury ever. hope you end up better than me
ijurys suck im just gettin on the bike agen after braking my collar bone into 3 pieces from my shoulder the bone went on a 45 degree angle down then the next part was pointed on both ends and that went strait up thn the 3rd part of it was justflat lol
Damn I know how you feel breaking your knee cap. Broke mine biking after my first day of work at my brand new job. Boss wasn't happy and neither was I. I had to say goodbye to all my summer plans. But you just gotta make the best out of what you have!
Ouch, I totally know how they feel as I'm sitting here with a 2 week old wrist fracture with still 3 weeks to go before the cast gets off and god knows how long rehabilitation after that, when all I wanna do is get on the bike again. Early season injuries really are the worst.
Not trying to be smart ass, but I think those 661 knee pads are a little lacking on the Knee cap area. It doesnt take much to break it there. Maybe if they had some more Carbon fiber sewn in that area or just something more than fabric. Alot of Pros do use those pads I'm sure for their weight factor. I know they are light and all but what's the point really if all they do is save a little road rash. Get well soon guys. My wrist still hurts 9 years later after a nasty fracture and probable nerve damage.
Not many or almost none of the pro-riders would wear full-armor during the race. the max they wear is neckbrace, gloves, knee-guards and , of course, helmet. Could full-armor really slow their speed?
Yeah nice vid, after a trip to A+E last night for me i can really feel for these guys. One second its all good and the next your sat out for 6 weeks. Speedy recovery to all.
yeah, its not pretty on the knees sometimes... i used to be all about the kneepad fad for dh, but sometimes you wish you just wrapped em up...i saw about everything in my knee from my boxxer air spring topcap.
Bummer to see the guys eat so much so earl.
Too much speed from the new build, eh
and like the title says: What doesn't kill you ... makes you stronger
awesome Team, Riders and footage
