That kind of helmets are common if you climb outdoors and mainly should prefent injuries by falling stones. Thats my they have a harder shell than bike helmets. In second line they should help when you´re falling.
It´s not common to wear them indoors or on climbing towers like the one shown in the pictures. But you never now... and safety first!

Garneau Acquires Sugoi & Sombrio
Didn´t know that Garneau is Canadian... And looking at the pictures they look like they are selling wine? Oh... wait... One of them has a bike on his shirt. Unfortunately he is not part of the board.
To be honest I do not understand the statement "We want to become the leader by introducing a ready-to-wear bike apparel segment for people who practice active transportation, making biking accessible and fun for everyone and, in doing so, create a cycling lifestyle." ???
My clothes are always ready-to-wear. Apart from washing them from time to time. But I don´t have to charge them or put them togehter somehow.
Didn´t know also that clothes are "making biking accessible and fun for everyone".

Inside Rotwild
I don´t know the status today, but in the past the frames hat been welded in Italy(?).
I assume it´s the same for Rotwild like for most of the rest of the bike companies: Engineered in Germany (or USA, Canada, GB...), produced in far east.
I think they would have shown some pictures of the production in the article otherwise.
