Tech Tuesday - Finding and Fixing that Creak
I have the hd3 and they gave me a new clevis and shock hardware to fix the creaking issue. At first I applied electrical tape intbetween the lower shock mount where the clevis attaches. It helped but the company was aware of the issue and followed through. Love my bike

$160 USDI'm selling a like new Ibis 738 Alloy Rear Wheel - the rim is brand new (it was a crash replacement and was never used after being rebuilt) and the hub has been ridden less than 5 days.
The hub has the Boost spacing (12x148) and is for Shimano-style cassettes (not XD). The internal width is 34mm. It comes tubeless ready with rim tape and the valve stem already installed.

May 19, 2017Fox Float 32 Fit RLC Kashima Coat Tapered
$115 USD2012 Fox Float 32 Kashima Coated 1.5" Tapered Fit
150mm
15x100 Thru axle (works but should be replaced)
Steerer cut to roughly 7.5 inches.
New Enduro bearing seals
20wt fresh oil change never ridden
Here's the backstory.
Bought this fork for my friend who had an oversized 1 1/8" steerer. Thought I could throw a smaller cup on the bottom and fit the 1.5" tapered. No dice.
Bought this from another seller who claimed to have ridden this for a season and switch over to a rockshox pike. Travel bottoms out with at least 4 inches of stanchion showing. Odd. Never had a Fox fork before and I've read that as kind of normal but I definitely don't think it feels right. I changed the fork oil to a lighter weight (same as my x-fusion sweep) and new enduro bearing fork seals (blue on the fork). I think it looks rad xD.
I've been breaking in the dust seals as they were super sticky at first and have since mellowed out. I do believe there is some tinkering left to do as it moves through the travel okay, but the damper doesn't utilize all the travel. I could send a video of how it goes through the travel decently but doesn't utilize all the travel.
Fox heads this is a great deal for literally a PERFECT kashima coated fork if you want to drop your own internals in there. Didn't want to mess with it any further as I'm losing $$ on this already.
