Carbon Conundrum - Pole Bicycles Ditch Their Plastic Project
@EMR52: It's pretty clear from the responses we see from Pole that they care about the environment and the health and well being of humans who have to manufacture bikes. Being a cynic is easy, taking action like Pole is doing is much harder to do.

Staran FSM-140 – Review
@kwl1: Yeah, that move puzzled me. People who buy Chromags usually know bikes and would want to have a threaded bottom bracket, especially on locally made models.

Slam that Stem? Cane Creek Debuts the "Slamset" - Eurobike 2017
Cane Creek 40's on all my bikes have rusted in less than 6 months. Pretty bad when cheap FSA stuff lasts longer. I hope that the replacement bearings are cheap because so far I am not impressed with Cane Creek quality...

The Tourist 2: Makken and His Dog Charge Geiranger Fjord - Video
@BENGA: It's this kind of attitude that gets bikes banned in wilderness areas. Mountain bikers need to respect the existing trail like every other user. Advocacy groups all over the world have been working hard to make sure mountain bikers have access to terrain like this and poor behavior from a few people ruins all that hard work and gives hikers and equestrians good reason to kick us out. Let's not be our own worst enemies and be stewards of these beautiful places.

How To Ride Coast Gravity Park and Whistler for as Cheap as Possible
This is what is sweet about Canada, you can dirtbag camp almost anywhere for free with a bit of effort and nobody bothers you. We found this to be really hard in the USA. Cops always gave us trouble even for resting a few hours in the car and logging roads have gates everywhere. That being said, BLM sites are cheap and plentiful so we ended up there most nights.

Bike Check: Richie Rude's Yeti SB5.5 - EWS Aspen 2017
The way that stem is machined takes away surface area around the steer tube which helps with grip, which is why they probably have to crank the bolts. That style of stem is not great on mountain bikes IMO.

@cwatt: People in Squamish judge you on your character and merit, not on what kind of car is in your driveway. It's expensive to live in Squamish because it is a nice place.
