If they really want to make any e-bike race, do it in a renewable way. Batteries can only be charged from solar panels that afterwards will be left to the town hosting the race. Then at least it would make sense for the environment!

I'd like to think of e-mtbs as "leg empowering mtbs". In this sense, i'd like to see less motor power and less battery. Just a help for the hardest climbs, at the expense of 1-2kg weight max. Set your personal max power output, and the bike will help only over this threshold. As they are now, I think the help level is too much. This said, I just ordered one e-fully. Why? Because I'm horribly out of shape now (compared to a few years ago). In my area, climbs are hard and unforgiving. In this way, I'll be able to enjoy epic rides while progressively getting back in shape. Once back in shape, we'll see... I suppose a 20kg e-fully won't be able to be as fun as my 12kg enduro weapon. But I'm open to new things and I'm going to use the e-mtb respectfully of people and environment, same as the normal mtb. Regarding the website, simply add a couple of preferences to the user profile: no e-contraptions, just interesting e-news, all e-news. And filter the content based on this.

@Jack-McLovin: definitely interesting, also I saw somewhere else that he's riding on the hardest side of possible Fox settings... But sure, you must be fit to ride on such a setup! Quite happy all his hard work in the gymn and on his bike is paying off.

Definitely Danny was not losing speed on the harsh bumps, while all the others were. Was it shape only? Or was his suspension setup better as well? Many riders appeared to have a bump absorption setup, which was comfy but not fast. Danny had a bike hard as hell but which flew over the bumps. Maybe you need to be in super shape to ride such a setup, but still... I think Danny's mechanic did a great job as well!

I have a simple question. Will my XX1 11sp cranks from 2 years ago work with this system? Then the upgrade would be chain cassette derailleur and shifter "only"...

Zerode has Pinion 1.12, which is 600% on 12 gears. Far superior range on the Zerode. And, by the time SRAM 1x15 will reach 600%, it will weight same as a gearbox, with all weight unsprung on the rear hub.
