Interview: Rachel Atherton on Her Pregnancy & Plans for the Future
@ReformedRoadie: True, but like it or not he has had as much (or more) influence on the sport than any recent pro rider.

@Silocycle: I needed a lower spring rate on mine. Not sure what the experience of the guy with the Bronson above was that made him need more.

Video: The Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship Connects Communities by Building Trails
I attended and worked at a summer camp up in this area and was talking to the owner recently and she was stoked to have her town be part of the system. With covid camp was closed, but we rented it out for my bachelor party and had a blast doing some bike packing in the area. I will definitely make use of these trails and it totally takes the sting out of not getting a refund for the Downieville classic last year.

Cascade Components Announces V2 Transition Sentinel and Santa Cruz Heckler Links
You could get one (or the v1 version) and test to see if it fits yourself, although that is an expensive test to do on your own and no idea what the results would be. My friend has a Smuggler and loves it, although I rode it a bit and it didn't feel nearly as playful as I had hoped.

Cascade Components Announces V2 Transition Sentinel and Santa Cruz Heckler Links
@DylanH93: I put both a CC link and a coil on my Patrol. When I put on the CC link, it made an immediately noticeable difference. Coil shock not so much. So although not blind, both had a similar emotional (and actual) investment by me and one had a much more noticeable difference. Whether the feeling was better took some testing, but it makes a very noticeable difference to how the bike feels. Similar to others I could drop pressure in the shock for better small bump compliance and still get all the support I want.

Opinion: Where Are All the Affordable Bolt-On Tube Holders?
@islandforlife: They can if they are designed for it, but that means you need to make it stronger, and therefore heavier, than you would if you didn't have to be able to carry a bouncing 2 pound weight. If you drilled a hole in the top tube and added attachment points to most carbon fiber frames that weren't designed for it, they would probably tear out eventually. So it's gotta be reinforced compared to a bike without it. I figured these were designed for carrying a tube and a tool, but given the response to what I said, seems like the companies probably have to assume that someone will put a water bottle on it, so presumably it's fine.

Opinion: Where Are All the Affordable Bolt-On Tube Holders?
I worry the top tubes aren't designed to have the stress of that much weight on them. GG frames are tough with their Rev Carbon, but on other bikes this could be an issue.

Review: 2021 Cube TWO15 HPC SLT - DH Bike Week
@sewer-rat: I've ridden my friends XL Sentinel with a 500mm reach enough times to know that a super long bike ain't for me. It definitely feels like a rocket ship in a straight line and has no trouble on bumps and drops, but I can don't need help with those parts of the trail. I want a bike that begs for speed in corners even at the expense of straight line speed. I'm also surprised that British riders and companies have embraced the long bike trend since nearly all the trails I see there are fairly flat but with super fast turns.
