First Ride: The Atherton S.170E – CNC Lugs Meet Avinox Power
@Athertonbikesteam: well I'll excitedly wait for 2027 then. I was ready to put down a deposit.

Hunt's Carbon-Spoked Trail Wheelset - Eurobike 2025
@sfarnum: In my original comment I was pointing out costs at regular MSRP (factoring in that WAO always gives 10% off on their rims when buying direct).

Hunt's Carbon-Spoked Trail Wheelset - Eurobike 2025
@sfarnum: I built them myself. Not a fan of i9 hubs. Also, when I built mine I found some 240s at half price. Also I went full xc with the Revive rims and they came in at like 1350g

That's actually not very impressive on weight or price. You can build a set of We Are One Faction trail rims with DT Swiss 240hubs and Sapim CX ray blades spokes for about $1500 (not pounds) and they will be under 1500 grams

Video: Why Racers Can't Let Go of These 'Outdated' Rims - Leogang DH World Cup 2024
@danstonQ: I built a set with Shimano SLX hubs which have been absolutely bombproof, and the slx hubs were under $100 for the pair.

First Ride: Michelin's Aggressive New Wild Enduro Tires
I have a set of the prior generation Wild Enduro Race line tires. I love the grip, but they are so heavy and slow I only really use them on shuttle/park days. They use the DH casing and rubber compounds. I'm interested in how these new ones compare. Also, their trail tires, the wild/force Am2 combo is absolutely fantastic. So much grip but carries speed really well. My favorite setup for most riding.

Pinkbike Poll: Center Lock or 6-Bolt Brake Rotor Mounting?
All my MTBs are center lock because they all use Shimano hubs, which are the best price to performance ratio in my opinion, and they are center lock only.

Pinkbike Poll: Center Lock or 6-Bolt Brake Rotor Mounting?
Terske makes a compact tool that uses an axle as a handle, but even that is a pita to use compared to t25.
