Practice - EWS Round 8, Finale Ligure - Italy
@davetrump: Especially given that Greg himself showed up weeks early for the Fort William world cup to spend time doing testing with Fox on the track ahead of the race circus arriving. Pot, kettle.

Ask Pinkbike: Can Tires Be Too Wide? Should I Be Using All My Shock Stroke? Is 140 Millimeters Enough Travel for Enduro?
Mike describes it perfectly I think. Durability of Schwalbe tires is really poor, with the normal "wear" mode being the cracking and loss of the sideknobs well before the tread wears out. We see the same failures here and our trails are mostly (relatively) technical, slow speed and on soft ground. I can only imagine the problem is much worse in a high speed bikepark type environment. That said, the performance while they do last is brilliant so not a straightforward no thanks for me. I still use them (though only on the front now) despite the issues.

Video: Mark Scott - Rake & Ride
"Mark Scott has been busy sculpting a new line on his local hill, but no dig is complete without a test ride." Tsk tsk.

Pinkbike Awards: Enduro Race of the Year Nominees
But oddly, none of the very good riders I've spoken to who were at it thought it was a good event. Everyone I can think of without exception (including Graves if you read his journal) thought they had taken it way too far in terms of physical difficulty leaving people having no fun at all and just surviving, especially those outside the the top male elites. I don't think many of the racers would vote it the top one is all..

Mavic Crossmax XL Wheelset - Review
You can, but then you'd have to think that a wide carbon rim was actually better than these. If you live somewhere with say, rocks or don't want to run massive tires, or don't like sudden catastrophic rim failures that might not be your choice though. Still hard to beat a high quality aluminium rim for me.
