Probably not because of that surgery he had. The last thing you want to do after having your tendons tightened and your socket rebuilt, which is needed if it pops out easily enough that it happens in your sleep or closing a car door, is to go out and risk popping it back out again, undoing all that work. This is especially risky since that the muscle atrophy can be quite severe in the shoulder, which makes the socket even more vulnerable. It takes a long time and I wouldn't doubt if he was being cautious about it... its a shitty situation to be in.
But this is all from personal experience and speculation so I could easily be wrong but his shoulder did seem to be that bad judging from an interview in Decline a couple months back. The good news is that if he did indeed have that socket rebuilt, its going to be bulletproof if he keeps up with rehab and building up those shoulder muscles.
Eitherway it's awesome to see him gain some experience hosting/commentating. The guy is an absolute ambassador for the sport and role model for future generations. I think Cam will be front an center in this industry long after his comp days are done.
Cam is my hero. I hope he stays in the MTB scene long after he's too old too compete (hopefully MANY years from now) . I'd love to see him as a commenter for every event!
you know where you find good weather, and we know that the anti-cyclone on the ocean atlantic brings rain and wind to west of europe. yesterday rained but the rain was so thin that gave pleasure to ride, without getting wet. Today sun is back and in the next days the temperature will rise to 30c and more.. season of beachs partys started. .
I want to see him ride!
