When you try working on a bike in the vertical position, the stand just falls over. It's very wobbly and slow to put on and take off bikes. Adjusting the little tightening arm while trying to hold up a bike is very annoying.
As far as collapsible stands go, its not bad.
In my opinion, if i wanted something small at home, I would go for a wall mount or a bench mount for much more support and less money. If drilling into a wall or bench is a problem you can always mount the stand to a metal plate and use it on a vice.
