Sensible if you're home and have time to deal with potentially not getting it right, utter faff at a race when you know what you're getting from a brand new set immediately.

First Look: The Focus SAM² eMTB Is An Absolute Unit
@kashimadaddy: It's just not versatile enough. 1300+ WB, 460 chain stays, 63.5º HA, and 180f/170r travel screams 'purpose built'. You can get extra volume on any ebike, but unless you're going super fast or riding real steep there are better tools for the job. For sure, just my opinion, though I did use the same extra-volume justification for about 2 years.

Can't treat it like a different thing? Like you're taking a less experienced rider out - friend, partner, kid? Safety is paramount, for sure. But I think there's room for something like this.

@burt-reynolds: Yea I mean that’s my experience in Spokane too, but that lot certainly didn’t elect a Democratic mayor. They’re just loud af. Apparently it’s at least a little more politically diverse than that.
