Yeah the girls!! So good to see that the podium was all from down under. There's so much talent on the southern hemisphere, incl South America.

These girls have serious skills - this should inspire some more!

I could only dream about making the gap - never mind pulling off any kind of trick while trying to make the gap, that would likely end up in A&E!

You can hear the excitement and enthusiasm in the announcers voice and commentary! Inspiring and motivating to get out there and throw some wiggles! Good on the guys to step back and let the girls steal the show, get some coverage. Too bad the crowds weren't as large as they could have been. If the guys went, there would have been more potential exposure for these riders.

Crowds have been dying down throughout the years tbh... I've even skipped Men's slopestyle before to go ride in the forest instead =P

hahaha, +9, -9. Seems some people don't really support the ladies! They may not all be that good or exciting, but they are having fun and pushing and trying to progress. What is more fun that progression?! I love to support my friends break barriers, even it's a one hander wiggle wiggle. A lot of these ladies are better than me, and would love to ride with them, but I wouldn't really be too into watching, when I could be riding. I usually only watch the best, like, in the World, doing the tricks that push the sports boundaries. I don't care if a little kid can throw a foot off, or is some pro Woman can tuck-no. Wow. Boring.

@bigd003: the downvotes are probably more to do with the situation in the men's event than support for the ladies. The guys didn't step back to let the girls steal the show, and I'm not sure that if the guys event went ahead, would the crowd have stuck around for the ladies event? Who knows

@Gareth-R: I wonder that as well, crowds tend to stick around for what they want to see. I've been wondering if this pushback by the men is going to help progress, or drive nails into a coffin. What kind of sales do these dudes drive? Are these events profitable at current compensation levels? I really would like to know, what the margins are. Do they bring the money to demand the pay? Or is all subsidized by the industry on the whole?
