The EWS is back in Tasmania for round two, and the little town of Derby is once more about to deliver some outstanding racing. Racing starts on Saturday with just one stage - the Queen's stage where riders can pick up valuable extra series points - and then there's five big stages to come on Sunday. Ric Mclaughlin, Chris Ball and an inflatable kangaroo took a ride down them to see what awaits racers this weekend.

I got to ride these trails ahead of the riders in 2017 and watching this brought back very fond memories. I was riding that rocky one whilst the pros were walking it and they cheered me on. Take me back! The trails there are indeed fantastic.

Agree! There are gonna be some flat tires and broken bikes. Lots of embedded rock. Huge day out there with 6k feet of climbing and descending.

Is it pronounced darby (like Derby, England) or derby?
  • 2 0
Not darby... You could also call it Blue Tiers.
