The issue is usually due to weakness of the forearm muscles particularly the finger and wrist flexors. Secondary issues that can arrise include carpal tunnel and cubical tunnel. Don’t let the physiotherapist tell you it is because of tight muscles. Stretching won’t due anything. You need to do eccentric strengthening exercises.

Hurt myself a lot more times riding than flying, but the latter can finish you off a lot more easily

Review: Pivot Phoenix - Easily Accessible DH Speed
@Mlloyd550: pivot did this for me back in 2018. No problem fitting the big cassette. Had done the same thing years ago on a session

Review: Pivot Phoenix - Easily Accessible DH Speed
Did that years ago on a 2018 phoenix. Perfect Shore setup for pedaling back to the truck or for those little pedals to better link up cypress laps. No more walking the bike.

Support NSMBA Trails & Get Entered to Win a Knolly Warden
Hey NSMBA. How about advocating to add some trails to the local network instead of being complacent in decommissioning them and paving what trails we are legally allowed to ride. Take a look at Squamish to see how to run a trail org

Review: Pademelon CS.1 Steering Damper
I have been running a Hopey for quite some time as I ride with a prosthetic arm. Price has increased dramatically since Hopey sold to the new owner. My main issue has been durability. They blow after a season of riding and they won't sell you the patrs to rebuild them so you have the expense of sending it back to them for a rebuild. Also the clamp under the headset has too small a pinch bolt so it is constantly rotating because you can't synch it tight enough. Not an issue o the dh bike but big flaw on the enduro bike as the handlebars rotating beyond a certain degree hits the damper and spins it out of alignment.

It is a pretty sureal area. Was down there paragliding a few years ago and the potential is massive for freeride lines. Huge open slopes and potential 3000 ft lines everywhere you look. It is like Farwell Canyon or Virgin Utah on a mega scale. Saw a few riders hoping the bus up the hill to the next town to drop lines and was wishing I had brought the bike for those evenings when it was blown out.

Bike Check: Jack Moir's Steering Damper Equipped YT Capra - Finale Ligure EDR World Cup 2024
I have been using a Hopey steering damper for years as I have a prosthetic arm. It works great on the DH bike with triple clamps. There is a fatal flaw in the design with a single crown fork. If you rotate the bars too far, they strike that post behindthe stem, and cause it to rotate off center. Maybe this newer version clamps in the steerer better to prevent rotation, but then you are slamming your bar into a fixed component which is a bit sketchy.

5 Cyclist Attacked By Cougar Near Fall City, Washington
My Ex got pusued by a couger in North Van while biking a number of years ago. Unfortunately for me ot was more just curious than hungry.
Had my own cougar encounter a few years ago while doing trail work. Hiked in along an old skidder and saw some boot tracks and what looked like dog tracks in the mud. Walked back by 20 minutes later and heard it growling at me.
