Video: Crashes & a Sprint Finish at a Dramatic XCO Race in Lenzerheide
@fourcross: I guess we will never know what really happened, but I have seen plenty of Schurter's overtaking, where at least one of riders (Schurter or the guy who he was overtaking) would end up on ground if the other rider wouldn't brake and let Schurter go. I guess this time, there were two of guys who didn't have any intention to break and let other one with right to go. If those rider's Schurter was overtaking similar way would have same attitude, there would be plenty of crashes before already. But you can hardly say he was overtaking them clearly if they were forced to brake if they wanted to avoid crash. Just last year's Lenzerheide when Schurter was overtaking Fluckiger and Fluckiger needed to brake pretty hard to avoid being forced off the track is one sample... obviously this one was payback, except contrary to last year, when Fluckiger was braking to avoid crash, Schurter didn't this year and they ended in crash.

Cube Issues Statement On Delivery Delays - 'Unlikely to Improve in the Foreseeable Future'
The thing is, they probably still would be. They are dragging out every possible excuse for 2 years now, to higher the prices and increase delivery dates. Sure chip shortage in industry where's small percentage of products include any electronics (let's stay away from mopeds) is very viable excuse. I'm sure they wanted to buy multiple super computers to design their new masterpiece but due chip shortage they can't do this now, so they need to use old computers and this means no new bikes for next 15 years. Not to mention ships float completely different nowadays due covid. So yes, perfectly understandable that they can't produce bikes anymore.

Victor Koretzky Has Signed With B&B Hotels KTM... Or Has He?
@waldo-jpg: contract with pro team is not really same as employment contract, as you are officially not employed by team. Main (and probably only) problem in this case is, that mtb and road are under same umbrella and it's not possible to have contract for two different teams under same federation. It sure wouldn't be any issue if he would have contract with mtb team and with football team, but having two contracts for two different teams inside same organization is problem.

Review: 6 Months Tracking Recovery & Strain with the Whoop Strap
@thirdeye73: that's exactly the thing. Most of this data depends on HRV, and if you want that it's accurate (and useful), you need accurate HR readings. Not accurate to determine if your HR is 50 or 55, but measuring down to 1/1000sec differences between hear beats (that's what HRV in fact is). No matter how good algorithm interpreting results is, doesn't help much if input data is already wrong, as all current optical sensors are just not good enough (with Polar, you need to wear HR belt (with ECG accuracy) to be able to do all HRV based tests). So yeah this product sounds fancy, and I'm sure lots of people will be thrilled about it, but in reality data it gives out are more or less useless, as they are based on input data having whole bunch of errors.

First Look: 2022 Canyon Lux Trail - Downcountry for the Backcountry
@vinay: I'm sure it helps if you are "Pinkbike reviewer" versus normal client with very limited public reach. At least one good thing with this social media thing is, that even normal client can have some reach and can press to manufacturer to honor their promises and not to sign you off any way they wish.

First Look: 2022 Canyon Lux Trail - Downcountry for the Backcountry
@vinay: the thing with Canyon is, that they don't even look if it's production error, but simply sign you off with "not our fault, buy new frame". Even when it's clear production error. Otherwise I agree, don't think too much of warranty... unless when you need it, but then it's sort of late ;)

First Look: 2022 Canyon Lux Trail - Downcountry for the Backcountry
@zeusdreadbeard: I'm afraid those 60cm are meant for bike going over without rider. I'm currently trying to deal with Canyon customer service (not really easy thing), as my half year old Lux has cracked seatstay. I never crashed it, I ride flowly xc trails with no jumps (I don't feel super comfortable in air even on skis, which are my tools, and on bike there no way I would jump), and I weight 75kg, lets say 77-78kg in full equipment. Yet Canyon decided that there's no warranty because there was overload. Overload caused by 75kg rider on flow trails with no jumps, roots or rocks. Otherwise bike is officially rated for 120kg rider and jumps up to 60cm, so 75kg rider without jumping causing overload so that seatstay cracks... well it's beyond my imagination.

Video: Rallying the New Canyon Lux Trail on Rocky & Alpine Trails
@mountainsofsussex: current official statement from Canyon is "it's not manfuacturer/material fault, but there was overload". Overload?? Really?? Bike should handle 120kg rider and jumps up to 60cm. That's Canyon's statement not my. I'm 75kg and ride flowly xc trails with no jumps, rocks or roots as max what I ride, rest are fire roads and forest roads. How would 75kg rider who doesn't jump and ride anything extreme (not even close to what xc tracks looks like, and bike is suppose to be made for xc racing) cause overload on seatstay is beyond me and my imagination.

Video: Rallying the New Canyon Lux Trail on Rocky & Alpine Trails
Unless they changed all the bikes after shooting, it certainly looks better built then current Lux. Mine got cracked seatstay after less then 1000km and I didn't ride anything even remotely similar to this in promo video, not to mention I never crashed. And what's "best" is, that Canyon says it's not material fault, so I can basically stick my warranty somewhere and buy new frame if I still want to ride bike.

I certainly hope carbon will be better quality then current Lux has, because if not, get ready for quite some expenses very shortly as Canyon has currently policy that nothing is material/manufacturer's fault, and you can buy new frame, even when it's about clear manufacturer's issue... on half year old bike.
