Weird & Wonderful Race Bike Tech From Past Nové Město XC World Cups
@steviestokes: We used to call it the 3 day job. First day put the tubs on and inflate to stretch them. Second day put some glue on in the morning and fit the tyre in the evening.
Day 3 we would roll the tyres side to side by hand to check they wouldn't roll, reglue any edges and then paint the tyres with a liquid sealer

@maglor: 25% growth in high end bikes in China last year and 50% of the world's bikes were/are made there.
It's one of the few untouched markets right now with high earners, you can see the growth in things like run and Hyrox over there so I imagine they will just be playing on the first to market exclusivity

@in2falling: E-Bikes have overtaken in Europe for the last 3 years, believe in 2025 it was around 70% of total sales.
Certainly on the trails near us it is mostly e-bikes now
