@schwaaa31: i m not too sure the exact definition of freeriding. But a lot of it is on DH bikes that are shuttled or pushed up.

Agreed. Ironically, we re gaining back the origine of mountain biking. Less suspension, less weight, snappier, but yet more capable with the new XC bikes generation.
The e-bikes are pushing the technology, but also are more than ever a complete different sport. if we take the shifting off, we might as well take the cranks off too. The separation is apparent. Pick between XC or DH if you are mountain biking, and the rest is ebiking.
