from my side YES and NO. I never even properly rode with any kind of electronic derailleur... to pricy... prefer nice riding weekend somethere cool for same money.. But I beleive they work great.. BUT I run MTB tour/rental bussines in Portugal, Sintra.. and during last 4 years I never head client who brought their bike with cable derraileur and had very big issues during holiday. Maybe some bending by hand/pliers requeired to continue riding day after crash but never complete failure... with electronic shifting have loads of clients who had multiple issues with electronic part of deraileur/batteries and weird behavariour of derraileur and they rode quite a lot without gears or needed to spend 300eur quickly just to solve the issue.. BUT again I have MTB and eMTB rental fleet and recieve all type of clients for rentals from WC riders to first time MTB... and it is way too much to handle for a beginner (dropper up/down, one finger braking, stand up on pedals, level feet.....drop the heels......and list never ends) automatic shifting would be good thing for begginer riders. But again... I had so little issues with drivetrains that it is not worht big cash for that... ofcourse it hurts to see than clients pedal on 30RPM for half day

@samsquamsh: This is similar situation with Shimano in Portugal. I operate MTB/eMTB rentals in Sintra.. always have stuck few ebikes with shimano eMTB system problems.. takes months to resolve and then it goes again
