@TheR: specs were never good, e. g. Headset bearings were loose Ball Version on many models. I had an abra cadabra which was Sold as their super innovative high end bike in 2010ish, and it also had those crappy bearings. but frames were often available at Discounts and I built up many konas from the frame. cannot complain about a Single one of them. my latest Addition is also a sprkly purple honzo ESD. I haven't been able to put a lot of miles on it yet. So far it handles pretty similarly to the chromag doctahawk,which is an amazing bike. cant fault the ESD in my view...

@chriskneeland: good point, I noticed the same benefit... My son always wanted to grab my grips before we got the first Gen bar.
Also he's more upright with the bars which puts his center of gravity further back and makes his seating position safer. Granted his head is closer to my chin but I preferred that to having his weight too far forward

I think it's the same frame as the commencal Ramones push bikes. They also have disc brake mounts. Iirc the rear hub was even already a disc hub

Tektro Introduces 9-Speed Entry Level E-Bike Drivetrain
I love my box 2 prime9 kit. Great to hear about additional modern 9 speed options. Hopefully they will be available aftermarket in the future.
