Video: Hugo Robenek Slays Bike Park Berms and Jumps
@Zeeroone: Don't be mad bro. I agree MTB should be fun and cutties and scrubs are fun. But not having respect for the trail builders and indiscriminately thrashing every berm is just being a selfish jerk. I'm not saying nobody should ever do it, it's fine on some tracks, especially the more raw dh style ones, and just not cool on others. Also let's be realistic, cutties are not exactly a difficult skill to master, my kids could both do them by 10 years old. I also have no interest in racing in pajama suits, strava time and all that bs, I just want to rail some berms and hit some jumps because that's fun too. But if the berms are all bomb holed out it kills the fun for those of us that want to rail it.

Not to mention it f**ks up the berms and they get all blown out way sooner. I've watched kids doing it the pump track because they see it on videos and think it's cool, it just makes more work for those of us that do the digging. Yes I'm a grumpy old man. Not to take away from the fact that I enjoyed this video and the rider rips.

@ahauck: According to one up's website it does have an 8mm. I haven't used it so I can't verify that.

I'm more concerned about the lack of an 8mm hex. I'm ok riding out with no chain but many crank arms, pedals and suspension pivots use an 8 and having one of those come loose ruins the ride down. Not to say a chain breaker isn't a good thing to have but it's not very often I have chain related issues on the trail compared to the other stuff.

Vitus Reveal their Updated Range of Hardtails and Trail Bikes for 2021
X2 on the overly long seat tube. I had a Sommet and it was a great bike, my kid rides it now. I was considering another one for him pretty soon because he's grown out of the small and will be tall enough for most large frames soon. but the seat tube on the large is just too long. Probably will end up going with a Ripmo AF or a Commencal for that reason alone. If it weren't for that the Vitus would have been my first choice because it's such a good value for a bike that rides really well.

@mobiller: Transition does something similar in their geometry chart. They post the Effective STA for each size based on an average saddle height which is also specified.

The 3 Best Steerer Tube Tools Ridden & Rated - OneUp EDC vs Specialized SWAT vs Bontrager BITS
@nullzwo: That is a cool feature and the Oneup would be my first choice of the three but I still think this article is misleading because the true cost of installing the Oneup on your bike is going to be at least $84 for the tool and top cap and probably more like $119 for most people who don't have access to the tap. That actually makes it the most expensive option.

@Ryanfitz81: Even if it comes loose it shouldn't create play in the headset, it's only there for preload and the pinch bolts on your stem keep the headset tight. Maybe you have some other issue with your headset.

The 3 Best Steerer Tube Tools Ridden & Rated - OneUp EDC vs Specialized SWAT vs Bontrager BITS
@brianpark: Isn't the oneup tool also a bit more than what it says here, Don't you need to buy the cap separately for another $25 and then either buy the tapping tool or pay a shop to tap it if you don't have a friend who has one?
