Field Test: Contra MC - The Steel Steamroller
37.25lbs is heavy, but not that far out of range for a steel framed bike.

Nicolai First to Reveal a Production-Ready Bike With Lal Bikes' Supre Drivetrain
This thing looks very cool. I have to admit, I won't be the first person to buy something like this but I can appreciate that they are taking a new approach to some of the bike design issues that most bikes face.

Video: Remy Metailler Rides Revelstoke for the First Time
I only found out that Revelstoke had left access mountain biking this year. Pumped to see more ski resort offering lift access trails in the summer. Now we just need Sunshine or Lake louis in Banff to follow the trend!

Opinion: Be More Like Chris
When I first started racing DH at about age 14, I noticed that a lot of guys in the race scene seemed to have a chip on their shoulders. They all kind of reminded me of the stereotypical "hockey D-bag". I have gotten much better in my riding over the last 10+ years and I am still progressing but ultimately I am trying to remember there will always be some 12 year old who is faster than me at the local trails so why try and be the best? Just have fun and try and leave your ego at home when you go and ride. If you are trying to progress in your riding, you don't need to be better than anyone else, just better than you used to be.

Sinter's $180 Elite Brake Pads Use Titanium & Gold
@hankbrowne: that was my thought. More of a desk decoration than an actual part intended to be used

Bike Check: Seth Sherlock's Intense Tracer 279
I would seriously consider an Intense for my next bike. They are still reasonable priced compared to some of the other rigs of a similar caliber spec.
