Patent Round-up: Shimano's Crazy Derailleur, Electronic Shifter & SRAM's Floating Brakes
The original Mountain Cycle Pro Stop disc brakes had a floating rotor that was pushed to a fixed pad from a piston. It was a hydraulic calliper but was cable actuated. I had a set of these on my San Andreas in 1993, before V-brakes came out.

Throwback Thursday: 7 Bikes Turning 30 in 2022
@ilovedust: it's not a reflector - it's a rear light, hence the BLT lights on the front. The rear mech thingy was a Bullet Bros chain tensioner.

Throwback Thursday: 7 Bikes Turning 30 in 2022
I had three of these, two mohos and a shockwave - they were fun bikes at the time. This was my first - https://www.pinkbike.com/photo/5342970/

Pinkbike Poll: How Much Does Your Bike *Actually* Weigh?
My longer travel bike weighs more than my shorter travel bike - mostly because it has bigger wheels and all the weight compromises that come with that. The 'trail' shorter travel bike, being a 26er and nearly 10 years old is 25lbs with pedals and is way more fun than the compromised bike.

One of these for my 17mm fork would be great to work with a 15mm axle

We Are One's New Handlebar and 26" Carbon Rim - Sea Otter 2019
@SirWonky: I have a 26" bike with a 27.5" fork - the axle to crown is a little higher, but it's fine. As it's an older bike, I've got an angleset in there to tweak the geometry anyway. Also allows me to run a 27.5" or 26" front wheel depending on how I feel. (best of both worlds?) My other bike is also a 26" and i'm not planning on getting rid of that either, but am already eying up a replacement 27.5" fork for it
