@Timo82: The grey and red Sprindex has been out of production for a few years now. Normal Sprindex's are now the same as the Vorsprung branded ones but with a small red Sprindex label instead. The old ones looked hideous and cheap but the new ones are significantly better looking.

@totaltoads: A pair of Knipex pliers is all you need to undo a float x seal head. I mean the pinner spanner is probably better and $100 is a lot but its also a whole lot cheaper than the vacuum bleeder you are going to need once you undo that seal head.

@pmhobson: The idea that each different bike requires a different custom "tune" is complete marketing bullshit. Brand X places an order for a couple thousand fox shocks, fox them asks what tune they would like out of essentially low medium and firm compression and low medium and firm rebound. The engineers at the bike company try a few out and pick the one they like the best and then call it a custom tune!. Rider weight plays a way larger role in picking an appropriate tune then just whatever the test riders where feeling. It's not "imperative" to have the specific tune for the bike as matt said. Bike companies often come up with downright stupid suspension setup ideas I.E. Trek reactive, Trek thru-shaft, specialized autosag, or specialized and commencal selling ebikes with R5 and R10 ohlins shocks on them.
