Well done Ben. Cathrovision has become my favourite part of the world cup. Fun to watch, very informative, gets you excited ready for race day and sh... riders like me can learn so much from them .

£95 may sound a lot , but the time and effort that is put in to run the B.D.S. does not come cheap and easy, also with a lot of the safety aspects for riders, Teams and spectators being put in place by the sports governing bodies and HSE , it takes a lot longer to set up. It would be great if The BDS team could just turn up on the Friday morning throw some basic taping up, a few basic loos , let people park and camp where ever they want (organized chaos )and then go home Sunday evening. Then you may get an £80 weekend, but there is a crew sometimes working for 4-5 days before the event and still there gone midnight on the Sunday, clearing rubbish left by spectators and Teams,as to make sure that the venue owners will allow them to return (more time more money) . Uplifts can be an issue when you have 300 plus riders at a meeting, most of you have the answer, but again it costs. As for rude staff I can not talk for everyone . The most of the Staff on the BDS do their job for the love of the sport, they want to see it progress in safe ,controlled, challenging and fun environment , they may get as frustrated as you at times, but some times they have to be blunt and straight to the point regarding rules and regulations, if they have doubts and issues , then that is where the BC Commissar comes in to help out. I think we are to quick to slate events and organisers at any level , we all should encourage and help out where we can , whether it be trail, track building, marshalling, anything that helps put on a good event and at any level of the sport , small local race's up to the top flight. " Great moment in time" to right. I was there with you all by the bridge and new trees. This moment in time will possibly be the best memory I will have from my years involved with riding, spectating and helping out on the DH . I have seen friends win world championships in Boxing, Rallying and Down Hill mtb , the atmosphere created at this moment we are talking about was brilliant , way up there. Thanks to all involved no matter how small your roll was , well done .

as far as I know, no one attempted to do it. Dan Atherton and Gazzy B (Gareth Brewen ) who played a big part of building and sculpting the jumps where keen on having a go weather permitting but there early departure put and end to it.

just got back from Hard-line,.totally crazy. You do not get the magnitude of the jumps from the gopro footage you see. To stand under the jumps, then see the height and distance these brave or slightly loopy riders are hitting is immense . Granted that Rampage is one hell of an event, but when you look at the terrain , with all the trees, stumps, monster rocks and some big steep drops , if you go off line and crash at Hard-line you boll...ks. You don't just tumble down a sandy cliff. As I understand it over 30 riders where invited but only 15 came to play, with some going to a big hitters wedding. and a few put of by the sheer relentless brutal coarse, not one area for a breather. May be next year the big names may come to see who can put the name as the first the to clear the step up from hell. Well done and fair play to all the riders who attacked it, even the fallen heroes
