Mike rode one with 1.79 and Darios is 1.82. Thats a bit of difference in ratio for front end grip and cornering feel. It has low stack which to me, negates what such a ratio is so good for. With ratios like that, you can run a bike way more upright (WAY more stack and WAY more bar rise) and still have all the front end traction through geo. This bike kind of only did part of the long chainstay big picture of bike geo. It's VERY WELCOMED but there's still a little room for it to make better sense. I think Mike might just not corner in a way that gels with it and also his ratio is on the more extreme side vs normal standards today (again, rad to see though!) Whereas, Dario, is riding something with a ratio that very, very few XLs get so he's finally seeing how great XLs can corner with proper ratios!

"It may not be the comfiest way down the hill, but it's certainly one of the quickest, and may just be one of the best-cornering XL frames I've ridden to date." uhhhh yeah, because its got a ratio of 1.82 in XL!! We've never seen that from any non boutique brand for that size! Amazing. We have been waiting for an XL that can finally have some proper front end weight through geo. So rad! Little more stack would be rad though.

High Bars vs Low Bars: Which Setup Wins World Cup DH Races?

Do a deeper dive on this all. Look into each racers F/R ratio. Calculate the rider triangle. Bikes are so all over the place. Some that look funky are more normal in rider triangle than one would assume. Lots of these upright riding position riders have better F/R ratios than the leaned over the front riders. Some grew up with certain geos that lean one way or the other. There is so much to it than simply looking at bar height or stack haha. It's way more complex of a picture. Also funny when everyone looks at Dak but mathematically, Jacksons is more extreme than Daks. Finn runs a unique offset. There is SO much to the bigger picture
