I can't even tell if someone is on an e-bike heading to the trail except that they're having an easier time climbing. Surrons though... the trailhead looks like Thunderdome. They kind of overdid it on this one. Apples and oranges.

In my case, I'm on blood thinners and a concussion is a no-go for me. Been riding pretty gnarly trails for 30+ years and have had lots of crashes where my helmet did its job but have never once hit my face. Just not concerned about that at all on the trail (but I do wear eye protection). Any level of advanced tech to minimize concussions is my top concern.
I certainly wear a full face at bike parks and doing enduro races and whatnot but would prob die of a heat stroke in Texas rocking one year round.
