Yeah, service ist uber expensive. Mine also had a bend eyelet. Don‘t ask me how. Rebound adjuster could only be moved with some pliers. One ring inside the shock was broken but there are no spares for that since they usually never break or wear out i was told. I‘ll never buy EXT again. Paying 350 € for a service and getting it back with the advise that this thing is basically fucked up.

I tried shockwiz and I was already at >95%. I didn't try the suggestions because it wasn't far of my setup and I felt that I know the reason why I don't want that. That being said my approach/thinking is probably by nature more fitting to the shockwiz. I'm 65 kg. So I always remove tokens. I tried riding the stock one token on my Fox 36 but didn't like it straight away. Then I start riding with an initial pressure, compression fully open, rebound by parking lot feel. If I don't use as much travel as I would consider full range minus a little ass-saver margin, I reduce the pressure. Then I'm going faster with the rebound until it feels like the fork is working too much. Instead of going back I apply a click more high speed compression until it feels fast but controlled rebound. At least, I start closing low speed compression based on my small bump feel and control in berms and steep parts. And here we are. For me that's a systematic approach that work on all the forks that I rode over the past 10 years.

@Chondog94: i did. Can‘t confirm. I‘ll stick to bike yoke cable driven as long as there are cable routings in frames. I own(ed) three bike yoke seat posts from pre-ordering gen 1 on. Never had issues, never did a service. All of them still run smoothly.

@blacktea: And what tells you that those batteries might not be laying on a shelf of a battery safe container?

What do you know about how those batteries are stored?
