@chocolate-thunder: An interesting thing I learned about Chinese IP recently. China has IP laws and they are generally followed. However, for a patent, it's different than the West. it's whoever files it first within China gets the patent. Sooo, it's best to file the patent with the Chinese patient agency first before sending files and prototypes to Chinese factories. I'm not advocating what China does, I'm just saying this is how it works. Plenty of designs go straight to the factories without filing within China.
Matter of fact, some sketchy factories may not accept your order if you have already filed the patient or they might charge you a higher price if they can't do it before you.
