Opinion: Why Climbing Efficiency Matters More Than You Think
As far as weight is concerned, if I only gain .5% efficiency with a kg lighter bike... the number in percentage seems irrelevant but in terms of a typical one hour climb that's 30 seconds I gain. Dunno about anyone else but I'd gladly take that in any race scenario just sayin!

@noideamtber: correct terminology is dual crown or triple clamp.
History lesson....back in the day when dual crown forks were first adapted to mtb. The idea was inspired from a moto fork. The individual crowns had a clamp bolt for each stanchion and for the steer tube, hence the term triple clamp. Moto forks still are this way today not like the cheaper manufacturing option of press fitting the steer tube into bottom can
