I dremeled a groove under the multitool in my Oneup EDC just big enough for a heavy gauge sail needle and put two pieces of Dyneema thread with my bacon strips, bike patches are tucked under my saddle with my urethane tube.
Patches and sewing kit add under 11 grams and take up effectively zero space assuming you are already bringing any repair stuff idk why you wouldnt add it.

Hunt Announces 1254g XC Wheelset with Carbon Spokes
Proven XC Carbon on my Epic Evo and Carbon X-Wides on my gravel bike. Was a little skeptical as Hope and Chris King hubs are the only hubs I have had a good experience with and I regularly ding up alloy rims. Couldn't be happier with performance gains / feel as well as hub engagement and durability. I am 170ish+ Lbs and have had SOLID rock to rim contact on them all, apart from a scuff or two in the clear coat you would never know.
I dont pretend they are the end all be all but on sale each carbon set was $800-$900, 1450 grams, solid engagement and ride quality, plus a lifetime crash replacement. That was a compelling offer to me and I have had zero regrets since.
